§ 9-88. Composition, qualifications; compensation.

  • The contractors' examining and mediation board shall consist of seven (7) voting members appointed by the city commission. The members of the board shall consist of one (1) member from each of the building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and specialty contractor trades and shall be totally familiar with the subject matter related to the examination and qualification of the particular trade or profession represented. No member of the contractors' examining and mediation board shall receive any compensation for duties involved. No member appointed to the board shall have been adjudged bankrupt within the previous five (5) years prior to his appointment. Notwithstanding the above, eligibility for board membership shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of section 2-217 of the Code of Ordinances, as may be amended from time to time.
