§ 9-135. Inspection of moving equipment.
After the permit is issued and immediately prior to the beginning of moving operations for the moving of a building onto a city street, the owner or mover shall request an examination of the moving equipment and of the structure to be moved after same has been located upon the moving equipment. The automotive equipment and the condition of the structure as located thereon shall be inspected by the building inspector, and the owner or mover shall secure the approval of such official prior to the moving of such structure onto public streets. In the event the building inspector rules that the automotive equipment or the placement of the structure thereon is inadequate or unsafe in his opinion, the structure may not be moved onto the public property until such condition is satisfactorily corrected in the opinion of such official.
