§ 9-202. Guard rails.

  • (a)

    Guard rails at least thirty-six (36) inches in height shall be provided in the following locations:

    (1)

    Both sides of all exterior stairways and ramps.

    (2)

    All edges of occupied roof areas.

    (3)

    Edges of all decks not encompassed by the exterior walls of the floating home superstructure.

    (b)

    Guard rails shall be designed to withstand a twenty-pound-per-foot load applied at the top of the rail. In open type railings, intermediate members shall not be spaced more than nine (9) inches apart.
