§ 6-11. Keeping and displaying regulated.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person in the city to exhibit, keep or display pets, animals, birds, or fowl of any kind in any manner without shading such animals from the sun, and providing adequate food, water and ventilation for their use.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person in the city to exhibit, keep or display pets, animals, birds or fowl of any kind in glass show windows on Sundays and holidays except when the business or facility is open to the public for business as a normal business day.

    (c)

    Every person maintaining a pet shop shall post a notice clearly visible from the ground level adjacent to the store, containing the names, addresses and telephone numbers of persons to be notified during any hour of the day or night by an impounding or cruelty officer.
