§ 2-150. Fees for services of city for furnishing information regarding unpaid utility bills and special assessments.

  • A fee of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) shall be paid to the city by any person requesting a written certification concerning unpaid special assessments, utility bills, code enforcement actions, or any revenues due, with regard to any property or real estate served by the city, to be completed by the utility billing and collections division of the finance department ("division") by its close of business on the business day following its receipt of the request, and a fee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) shall be paid to the city by any person requesting such certification to be completed by the division by its close of business three (3) business days following its receipt of the request. Such fee shall be paid in advance by the person requesting such information and a separate fee shall be paid for each individual parcel of property or real estate for which inquiry is made. The city does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of any such information furnished until final billing and audit. The city commission may review and revise the amount of such fee as often as it deems advisable.
