Article IX. EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS TASK FORCE |
§ 2-273. Organization and appointments.
(a)
The emergency preparedness task force shall consist of the following members:
(1)
Mayor. The mayor shall be executive director of the task force.
(2)
City manager. The city manager shall be director of the task force.
(3)
Fire chief. The Fire Chief of the City of Fort Lauderdale shall be the assistant director of the task force.
(4)
Domestic preparedness and emergency management coordinator or "the emergency management coordinator" .
(5)
City commissioners. Each city commissioner shall be a member of the task force.
(6)
Assistant city manager(s) shall be task force member(s).
(7)
Department directors. Each department director shall be members of the task force.
(8)
Citizen representatives/volunteers. Representatives and/or volunteers of civic, business, labor, veterans, professional, or other organizations having an official emergency responsibility, as may be appointed by the mayor with the advice and consent of the city commission.
(b)
A line of succession for the task force shall be established and shall be listed in the CEMP.
