Latest version.
  • (a)

After a minimum of six (6) months have passed from the date a license was issued, an operator may submit a written request for permission to modify the licensed operation. A request for a new route or for use of two (2) or more additional vehicles shall be treated as an initial license application.

    (b)

The operator shall apply to the Department of Transportation and Mobility by listing the specific modifications requested. The Department of Transportation and Mobility shall submit the completed application for staff review as prescribed in section 27-227(c), above. Staff shall conduct an evaluation of the requested modifications based upon the same criteria used for evaluating an initial license application.

    (c)

The application and the evaluations shall be considered by the city commission. The city commission may approve all of the modifications, some of them or disapprove them, subject to compliance with the notice and hearing procedures as prescribed in section 27-228.

    (d)

If the city commission approves all or some of the requested modifications, the operator shall be issued an amended license by the Department of Transportation and Mobility. If the city commission approves an increase in the number of nonmotorized vehicles, the Department of Transportation and Mobility shall issue the appropriate number of additional permits upon payment of the applicable permit fee.
