§ 16-98. Mistreatment of police dogs.

It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly batter, disable, injure, kill, torture or torment any dog used by the police department in an official capacity while in the performance of the functions or duties of such department or to interfere with or obstruct any such dog while the dog is being employed by the police department in any authorized act within the department's official capacity.
