§ 13-132. Embankments or dikes surrounding storage tanks.

  • (a)

    All wholesale storage tanks shall be surrounded with an embankment of earth, steel, concrete or solid masonry, designed to be liquid tight and to withstand a full hydrostatic head.

    (b)

    These dikes or embankments shall be not less than four (4) feet high and capable of holding not less than one and one-half (1½) times the capacity of the tank surrounded. Embankments or dikes shall be a continuous wall with no opening for piping or roadways.
