§ 13-6. Certificate of occupancy for commercial buildings; fire extinguishers.

  • Before any commercial building receives a certificate of occupancy, whether partial or total, the fire inspection division shall make an inspection of the building and designate on such certificate of occupancy whether the building conforms with the fire code of the city. If the building does not conform to the fire code, such certificate of occupancy shall not be issued until the building conforms to the code. The fire chief or his representative shall specify the type and location of all fire extinguishers in commercial buildings.
